PFPSS Conference Cluj - 2026
In short
The 24 September 2026 conference in Cluj-Napoca was organised by PFPSS. Guests, authorities, organisations and NGOs involved in social care sat with private providers from across the country. The aim was to keep working in legality and with the greatest possible safety for beneficiaries. The patronat only counts when we are many, and the sector needs legislative change. From medical services and care products to technology, equipment and new solutions, the meeting opened collaborations.
On 24 September 2026, at Grand Hotel Italia in Cluj-Napoca, PFPSS held the annual meeting of private residential centres. The invitation carried the line “What we built with heart, we defend together”.
The conference was organised by us. Beside the providers were guests, representatives of the authorities, organisations and NGOs that work in this field, and private social care providers from all over the country. It was not a closed meeting of colleagues. It was a table for the people who provide care, the people who regulate it, and the people who can help centres work better.
The purpose was to make sure we can keep operating in conditions of legality and of maximum safety for our beneficiaries. The people in the centres cannot wait for a service to close because the rules cannot be met in time. Their legality and their safety are the same goal.
That is why the room made a call to private social care providers. The patronat is representative only when we are many. A request made by a few does not weigh what a request made by a whole sector weighs. The more members we are, the more a shared voice can ask for legislative change and for improvements to the current framework, so the work can continue in legality. The immediate aim, also written in the invitation, remains not to let outside funds close the activity, and to obtain the change to the fire-safety law that today puts many centres at risk.
On the same day, the event created room for new collaborations and for ways to grow. From medical services and care products to technology, equipment and new solutions, providers could speak directly with the people who can support their daily work. Taking part did not require a fee.
Why it mattered
“I left sure that we are not alone in front of the same deadlines and the same risks. A shared request can be heard.”
— Residential care provider, participant
“The conference showed why the number of members matters. Representation is not declared. It is built by people who take on the same effort.”
— PFPSS member
“I came with care solutions and left with partners. The room connected the daily needs of the centres with the people who can answer them.”
— Partner in equipment and technology
